How Does It Work?

Providing we have what you’re looking for and you pass our basic criteria we can get started.

Our Criteria is as follows:-

  • You must be aged 21+
  • You must have held a valid, full UK driving licence for at least 2+ years (Photo-card and Paper Counterpart required)
  • Have a recent bill confirming your home address which must not be dated older than 3 months
  • Possess an appropriate taxi badge licence.

All vehicles are subject to YOUR location & eligibility and OUR availability. 

Do Your Rental Vehicles Have Mileage Restrictions?

NO, unless a particular independent taxi rentals partner states otherwise.

What About The Taximeter?

These are already pre-fitted in all vehicles in the network, however you are responsible for its correct calibration to correspond with the council rates or private hire company rates where you work. Your manager will be able to inform where you can get this done. 

Is The Insurance Included?

Yes! All the driver has to do is rent it, fuel it and drive it! Cab Help takes care of the special taxi/ private hire insurance, road tax, licensing, mechanical and servicing maintenance.

Do You Supply The Vehicles In Order For Me To Become A Local Taxi Rentals Partner?

No, Also we do not supply vehicles to network partners to rent out on our behalf. You must own or operate your own business.

Can I Use The Vehicle For Other Purposes Too?

Yes! As you rent the vehicle you are welcome to use it like you would your own car, providing the vehicle is well looked after.

If I Wish To Work Private Hire Who Fits The Data and Radio Equipment?

The taxi/ private hire company in which you wish to work for does this.

We provide you with the vehicle and then you provide the company you wish to work for with any documentation required. Once this is accepted you then take the vehicle to them for their equipment to be fitted. 

What Does It Cost?

This depends on your location and vehicle type. All rental costs are advertised on each vehicle listing.

The minimum rental period is one week Monday - Sunday.

We DO NOT do weekend-only rentals.
